We are pleased to announce the starting of our first organised educational activity.
A Certificate Course on Mental Health in Palliative Care was launched on the 5th of November 2009. In an informal meeting held to mark the occasion, Dr Krishna Kumar, Director of the Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences, Calicut, Kerala, India launched the course. The first batch of 13 comprises of volunteers, nurses, social workers, a psychologist, a pharmacist and doctors. The course lasts 6 months on a part-time basis and comprises of taught sessions, discussions, assignments and clinical work.
